Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, Turkey's first butterfly garden and Europe's largest butterfly flight area, was opened to visitors in 2015. The Tropical Butterfly Garden has a 7,200 m2 usage area. Services are provided in two main sections, the Butterfly Flight Area and the Insect Museum, in a 3,500 m2 sightseeing area.
Our garden hosts 20,000 live butterflies of 60 different species every month. Butterflies come to our garden in special boxes from countries such as Costa Rica, Kenya, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Colombia, Panama, Singapore, Singapore, Indonesia, Colombia and Panama during the pupal stage, the third stage of butterfly life. The pupae that come to our garden are placed in special cabinets, complete their metamorphosis process and fly as butterflies. In our garden, 195 species of live plants and butterflies accompany our visitors during the trip. In addition, many plant species that are found only in our garden are cultivated in Turkey. In order to improve the quality of living life in the garden, plants with high oxygen production that can absorb harmful substances in their environment have been preferred. Insect Museum section consists of Butterfly Life Cycle, Insect Cinema, Butterfly Classification, Butterfly Behavior and Insect Village. Butterflies and other interesting insects found in this area are specially dried and exhibited.
